Job Description



  • Manages overarching co-op and promotional spend for retail accounts, optimizing available co-op funds to maximize sales, improve business results, and support merchandising initiatives
  • Negotiates promotional funding with publishers, including co-op, incremental, and special terms
  • Maintains publisher and retailer Checkbooks, running reports and updating projections regularly
  • Maintains list of all available advertising/merchandising vehicles, deadlines, and fees by retailer
  • Works with Product Managers, Publishers, and Account Executives to identify, fund, and execute promotional opportunities, including advertisements, outplacement vehicles, markdowns, and events
  • Tracks all promotional activity to comp against prior year activity
  • Works with graphic designer to create appropriate signage for any promotions or events
  • Works with Account Executives, Product Managers, and Business Analysts to identify key trends and opportunities for thematic/format promotions, and determines the best merchandising vehicles for the promotion
  • Works closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and suppliers to facilitate and fund retailer corrugate programs as needed
  • Works closely with Co-op & Billing Manager to ensure accurate billing and that all promotions are funded in full

The individual also edits written work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information
  • Organization – the individual can effectively develop and maintain processes for record-keeping and reporting for their customers, projects, goals and deadlines. Must be able to maintain high levels of accuracy and detail.
  • Analysis – the individual can combine and apply information from disparate sources, and can interpret and draw conclusions from both quantitative and qualitative data

  • The work performed is in a corporate office environment

  • Must be able to work independently on tactics and in high-functioning groups on strategic direction

Job Requirements



  • Bachelor’s Degree or comparable professional experience
  • 1-3 years of marketing and/or sales experience preferred
  • 1-2 years experience working in finance/accounting or similar preferred
  • Very strong analytical skills
  • Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Basic understanding of retail math
