Job Description

Summary:   Manage specific job functions and responsibilities associated with Walmart account activity that include customer relationship and category specific modular maintenance requiring regular customer interaction in a support and coordinating role.    

The primary responsibility of this job is the onsite liaison in support of all category and customer service related matters in the ReaderLink support office and customer locations.


Essential Functions:  To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:

  • Responsible for managing and resolving customer issues including item, promotional, marketing, distribution and merchandising matters
  • Communicate as needed within organization to successfully resolve customer issues and requests
  • Advise team on potential issues and help develop policies that minimize store issues
  • Assist customer buying team in preparation of department related presentations
  • Coordinate, deliver and set up displays and storyboards
  • Coordinate in-store event communication with customer’s marketing, buying and store operations teams
  • Make arrangements and coordinate execution of department related corporate events such as signings, presentations and meetings
  • Review new store schedules and coordinate fixture, signing, product and merchandising schedules as needed
  • Monitor store space and fixture changes and just store traits as needed
  • Assist buyer in gathering and distributing positive industry and category information to advance the corporate perception of book category
  • Assist customer in the implementation and maintenance of modular on corporate and in store systems


Non-Essential Functions:

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize projects/requests
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – in person, phone, email, presentations, etc.
  • Fast learner, team player, and aggressive problem solver
  • Strong to advanced level of skills with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Desire to advance and grow within the company


Language Skills:

  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization


Mathematical Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of retail math skills


Reasoning Ability:

  • Employee must be able to use common sense to solve problems and improve existing processes



  • This position will be based at our Bentonville office
  • A significant portion of this job may involve working in customer’s Bentonville offices and layout facilities
